Eat Your Way Through the Butte-aux-Cailles http://www.8motions.com/map/placesRss/41 The Butte-aux-Cailles (translation: Quail Hill) is a quiet little neighborhood in the 13th arrondissement that's often compared to a village in Spain, and rightly so. With its red-tiled roofs and stucco two-storied houses, it has the feel of a hamlet that somehow ended up incorporated into Paris. Beaufront oversees an operation which Le Fooding calls a "gastronomic mini-Nirvana" and which is very affordable given the quality (about €60 for two). Open Tuesday to Friday. If you can't get in, the Avant Goût wine shop and épicerie across the street sells some dishes to go.
Mon, 20 Aug 2007 16:50:44 +0200
